Studies show that young adults are more likely to consume alcohol for �''positive�'' or celebratory reasons than to drink to cope with negative feelings.
In 2007, an estimated 12 percent of persons aged 12 or older drove under the influence of alcohol at least once in the past year; this percentage has dropped slightly since 2002, when it was 12.8 percent.
